I present to you our family

We present,Amélie Gauthier, formerly a teacher and
now a consultant in advisory services for expatriates and
travelers to Mexico.Sébastien Nuckle, previously mechanic
in fire protection and now rental manager and
automotive research for travelers and expatriates. Both,
natives of Quebec and having lived more than 30 years in the region of
Lanaudière, travel, dreams and expatriate life didn't seem to us
not at allpredestined, and yet it became our passion
first in the last 2 years and continues to grow.

Here's how we got there: 

After years of contemplating the dream of living somewhere other than Quebec, it was in August 2021 that we finally

decided to take the BIG leap. To be honest,  this decision did not come without some headaches.

We have two wonderful little girls, aged 11 and 13, and well established careers. We both loved our respective jobs and our professional experiences allowed us to establish ourselves well. However, we have always felt a profound lack of freedom in Quebec. We were looking for a more balanced lifestyle, a desire to spend more time with our children without feeling guilty and to swap the freezing winters of Quebec for beautiful white sand beaches. This is why we decided to opt for Mexico, initially, temporarily for 6 months, in order to concretely validate this decision which could change our lives. 

We settled in Playa del Carmen to begin with, while keeping our house in Quebec, just in case... 6 months later, our decision was made! Mexico called to our heart and our instinct told us to leave without looking back. We came back to sell the house and all our belongings and start our new life in Mexico permanently. 

At the start, our daughters had trouble and above all they were afraid of the unknown. Our hearts as parents have often been  questioned, but we can tell you, without a shadow of a doubt, that this is now the best decision we have made for our family. This experience brought us greatly closer together, made us stronger, united and our daughters evolved at lightning speed. 

We are now perfectly integrated in Mexico since we have a magnificent house in a safe neighborhood with a swimming pool and a courtyard. We have the pleasure of taking advantage of all our weekends to explore neighboring towns, have dinners with friends, visit hotels, go on excursions and have a ton of projects on the way. 

Life in Mexico allows us to have a luxury that was not allowed to us in Quebec: time! 

Here we enjoy every moment of life, the nights are warm, the beaches are beautiful, the tacos are delicious and winter doesn't exist.
